How To Balance Camouflage And Safety
If you are going to be hunting for the first time, you will want to remember that safety is still the number one issue that needs to be remember. People often watch a lot of movies and figure you can throw on a pair of camouflage pants and head out and you have all your bases covered. It is important to remember that there is different camouflage for different areas. You don’t want to be dressed for the desert and then head to the woods, you will be sitting duck. So the place to start is with the correct camouflage for the right place.I found some more information here.
Because some animals can only see in black and white, it may be possible for you to be completely hidden in camouflage and have as much safety orange on as you like. Deer are a good example because they are believed to be color blind. You can be covered from the top of your head to your toes in camouflage and of course, don’t forget something on your face, and be completely hidden from your target.
So don’t feel bad that you stand out if you have a bright orange vest on. You are not defeating your own purpose. The deer won’t be able to see you, but other hunters will. So put the vest on and stay safe, it is worth the effort and your family will be glad to know you are a safe hunter.
